Producer and sound engineer, Adesanya Oladoyin Joshua, aka Dtunes, has sensationally claimed that it took him about 20 minutes to produce Iyanya’s hit song Kukere on the second albumn Your Waist.
According to Dtunes,
the album was recorded and produced in a studio without booth (one
without sound-proof). “It is all about creativity and your
ability to manipulate ideas.
It
might seem unbelieable to many people, but it took me about 20 minutes
to produce such a monsturous song,” he said. He described his first
meeting with Iyanya as “divinely programmed”.ability to manipulate ideas.
“I did a song for Dammy Krane and Iyanya’s manager stumbled on it. He invited me to their studio and that was where the magic started,” he explained.
The 23-year old, who
already has a string of hits, is aiming to work with the big acts in the
industry. Among artistes he has worked with are Dipp, Reminisce, Dammy Krane, Flowssick, Skales, 9ice as well as Tuface in a song Life is Beautiful.
He has also worked with K1 and recently produced a song for Wizkid. Dtunes
has been recognised in the industry, receiving nominations as Producer
of the Year at several awards ceremonies, including this year’s
Headies.
Dtunes started
music as a teenager in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, where his
father was minister. It was in the church that he learned how to play
different instruments and later joined the church choir as a keyboardist
and a drummer.
