The perception of Nigeria’s government seems to have crashed further, with most Nigerians rating their country’s leadership as the second most corrupt in the world, a Gallup poll just made public has revealed.
Gallup, in its first-ever report on “Global States of Mind: New Metrics for World Leaders.”, said 94 percent of Nigerians believe there is widespread corruption in government.

Zakari Biu released from detention after 9 months

months after he was detained over alleged complicity in the escape of
Boko Haram kingpin, Kabiru Sokoto, former Commissioner of Police in
charge of Special Investi-gations at Zone Seven Police Command, Abuja,
Mr Zakari Biu, has been released from detention.

Jonathan Appoints Sole Administrators For Ajaokuta, Itape Steel
President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has approved the appointment of
Engineer Isa Joseph and Engineer Abubakar Yaro Ibrahim as the sole
administrators for the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company and National Iron
Mining Company (NIOMCO) respectively.
