Write your own reports, Jonathan tells Oronsaye, Oti

Jonathan, who was obviously taken aback by the drama that played out before him, said he knew that journalists present at the presentation would come out with banner headlines on the drama on Saturday.
He said he was not completely surprised about the development because “oil business is always too oily.”

The President said any issue that had to do with revenue would naturally attract controversy.
He said rather than the confrontation, any member of the committee who had additional issues to raise on the report should do so and forward them to his office through the minister or his Chief of Staff.

He said any issue that has to do with corruption or stealing would be referred to the EFCC, while errors from government agencies would be sorted out.
He assured members and Nigerians that government was not interested in hiding anything as far as the reports were concerned.

He said, “Of course, government will take the majority and minority reports but in this case, there was no clear minority report. The issue is that there are some lapses in the processes, probably not everybody agree on some of the conclusions.”
