Let’s empathise with Patience –Okupe

The Presidency said on Tuesday that it expected Nigerians to empathise with the First Lady, Mrs. Patience Jonathan.

The Presidency said it did not expect Nigerians to be probing into her health problems, but to pray for her.

Senior Special Assistant to the President Goodluck Jonathan on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe, said this when asked to speak on the First Lady’s whereabouts.

President Goodluck Jonathan has ordered security agencies in the country to fish out the perpetrators of independence day massacre in Mubi, Adamawa state.

Woman narrates ordeal in kidnappers’ den

Women leader, Redeemed Church of God, Cornerstone Parish, Lagos, Mrs. Adebusola Odunaya, on Tuesday described her release by kidnappers after six days of captivity as an act of God.


PUNCH Metro reported last Thursday that Adebusola had on Saturday, September 21, left home for Lagos to buy beverages and some other items but could not be found for six days.

Another dead baby found near a refuse dump in Gowon Estate


Residents of the area woke up early this morning to find a new born baby stone dead near a refuse dump right before the entrance of Gowon Estate at Ponle bus stop. The new born was left there alive because two women later said they heard the cries of a baby in the early hours of this morning as they headed to the market but didn't know where it was coming from.

The baby was left there naked to battle the cold for hours. He sadly died before anyone even realized he was there. I think abortion is better than this. There's no reason for any woman to do this to a child..no reason! Photos when you continue...
